I really enjoyed this final trip to Rome, Kentucky. Madison and James were super sweet, and it was nice to see them get their happy ending.
Madison and James both felt like real people, dealing with real-life problems, and I loved getting to see both of their POVs as they recontextualized moments throughout their lives as they started to fall for each other in earnest. Their relationship felt very mature and I appreciated the ways they gave each other the benefit of the doubt even when upset with the other.
This was a perfectly cozy small-town romance!
